Volunteering

We couldn't run our charity without our amazing volunteers and fundraisers. We're always looking to work with motivated people, whatever your skills and interests. Whether you can dedicate a few hours, a few days or are looking for a more long term way to get involved, you can find an opportunity that suits you.

Volunteering with United Amayi is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and join a supportive community.

We’ve got loads of ideas, inspiration and guides and tools to help you organise your event, whether you want to fundraise as an individual, a group of friends, community group or school. Here are some of our ideas:

    Occasionally we will have vacancies to volunteer with United Amayi. Please check our social media for current opportunities and get in touch to register your interest for future vacancies.

    If we don’t currently have any opportunities, please see our UA Ambassador role. This role is vital to the work we do to share our mission with your local community.

    From remote coffee mornings to virtual workouts, connect with friends from around the world and support United Amayi.

    From the wacky to the wonderful, we're always open to new fundraising ideas. Get in touch with the United Amayi team with your ideas and receive support to make your remote fundraiser a success. Below are a few remote fundraising ideas to get you started!

    I want to become a UA Ambassador↓

    We need friends and supporters of United Amayi who can be the face of our charity in their communities. This is a flexible role - you can volunteer as much or as little as you want. We will support you however much time you can spend volunteering for United Amayi.

    What does a UA Ambassador do?

    As the face of the charity, you will become our local representative!

  • Inspire friends, family and colleagues to support and fundraise for United Amayi
  • Champion United Amayi and our work in your community, speaking to local community groups and schools
  • Build relationships with local businesses
  • Support and coordinate local fundraising events
  • Use your expertise of your local area to seek out new, exciting fundraising opportunities

  • Knowledge about your local area
  • A good communicator with the ability to speak with a range of people
  • Confident public speaker
  • Passion for United Amayi and our mission
  • Willingness to use your initiative to make the role your own!

    I want to sponsor a woman's education↓

    You can change a woman’s life for just £5.99 a month or £60 a year. That’s less than a Netflix subscription!

    Your donation will pay for a woman’s year-long English conversational school, uniform, school supplies and contribute towards teacher salaries and school running costs. To find out more about sponsoring a woman and how your money is used, please click here.
